"Biden addressed his administration’s response efforts during a press briefing on two executive orders meant to provide food assistance to low-income families and protect workers’ rights during the pandemic. Days after the US surpassed 400,000 deaths related to COVID-19, the president warned the country had little ability in the near term to prevent spiking case totals.
"If we fail to act, there will be a wave of evictions and foreclosures in the coming months as this pandemic rages on because there’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months," Biden said." foxnews

Hey! Wait a minute! Didn't you run on this? Weren't you going to halt the pandemic through good government and compassion?
What? What? Trump did it? He made all those people die through neglect and some as yet undetected crime?
But what about all those millions of doses of vaccines out there in freezers? Ah, Trump screwed that up. Poor Cuomo! Poor Newsom! What could they do? pl
And the tragi-comedy rolls on.
The uninformed, badly educated and lazy masses MIGHT figure it out when they start starving.
People get the government they deserve.

Perhaps we need a "Betrayed by Biden" tag. In addition to the Wuhan flu failure he's freezing Trump's executive order on insulin prices. Way to go, Joe.

TV,
Or as H.L.Mencken put it:
"On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
Looks as if that day has arrived.

Sir,
You may consider the following theory to be insane, but it is being proposed seriously by many who voted for Trump. They believe that Biden does not have access to the nuclear codes. They believe that Biden is not allowed to give real orders. They believe that the US military is running a provisional government and that Biden is recording television spots from a sound stage, not from the real Oval Office.
They point to the following irregularities:
1. Why was Biden denied a military plane to bring him to DC?
2. Why was the typical song for the arrival of the POTUS not played for Biden's inauguration?
3. Why was Biden not given a 21-gun salute as an incoming President?
4. Why was Biden's inauguration streamed as "live" in Spain 10 hours before the scheduled time?
5. Why did Biden remove his hand from the Bible before the oath was finished?
6. Why did Biden get sworn in after Kamala Harris, which would be un-Constitutional?
7. Why did military personnel turn their backs on Biden's car instead of saluting?
8. Why does Biden not seem to have the nuclear launch codes near him?
9. Why is the Pentagon blocking access to members of Biden's administration?
10. Why did the wallpaper in the Oval Office seem to change completely in less than 24 hours?

Why do the guards at NFL games turn their backs on the game and just watch the people in the stands?
Could it be that they are watching the crowd because they are protecting the participants of the game?

I cannot think of a valid argument for not doing this. We may lose and that’s bad publicity? The media is already claiming the Trump team has lost 50 cases!

From the ZH article; "None of this was for your health. It was to get rid of Orange Man Bad".
100%. The WHO's revised guidance effectively says the majority of infection data from PCR testing is meaningless. ZH notes Florida as a possible exception. The original guidance issued on 2020/12/14 seems to have been scrubbed from the WHO's website but was archived here: (https://web.archive.org/web/20210102051357/https://www.who.int/news/item/14-12-2020-who-information-notice-for-ivd-users).">https://www.who.int/news/item/14-12-2020-who-information-notice-for-ivd-users).">https://web.archive.org/web/20210102051357/https://www.who.int/news/item/14-12-2020-who-information-notice-for-ivd-users). The revised guidance calls for a retest upon a weak positive* result and publication of the Ct value along with the result.
*Why no retest after a weak negative, am I missing something re the risk of false negative results? Otherwise weeding out false positives only looks a lot like a policy to drive down reported infection rates.
The next stage of course is for the CDC to update their guidance (not updated since October) and revise the stats - hey presto pandemic over, all under the Biden administration.
This is the most audacious, yet transparent, PSYOP of all time. I just can't believe someone, somewhere doesn't have hard intel. on whoever is running it.

Downtownhaiku,
Well, besides from the fact that many of them were standing in disorganized groups, scarcely a favorable configuration for vigilance against those, you now, right wing terrorists, and beyond that, more prosaically, I think I saw some of them looking at their phones. So I don't think your contrived interpretation works very well. Thanks for playing, though.

Barbara Ann,
Didn't you hear. It's 2021 and there's a new, new Covid! Obviously the tests don't work on that one. Oh, it's more dangerous too. Better mask up for 15 days 'to slow the spread'. Don't get together in religious settings either, especially if you are a Jew in Canada, they're being rounded up. I wonder if Justin is going to to the same to Christians and Muslims - and politicians?

1. Why was Biden denied a military plane to bring him to DC?
I think the colonel covered this. Besides, he wasn't president yet.
2. Why was the typical song for the arrival of the POTUS not played for Biden's inauguration?
Because when he arrived he was not yet president, and after he was sworn in he was not arriving.
3. Why was Biden not given a 21-gun salute as an incoming President?
Because salutes are given on arrival. See #2
4. Why was Biden's inauguration streamed as "live" in Spain 10 hours before the scheduled time?
Spain is in a time zone 10 hours earlier than EST
5. Why did Biden remove his hand from the Bible before the oath was finished?
His arm was tired. He's 78 years old. The oath is in the words, not in the position of the hand.
6. Why did Biden get sworn in after Kamala Harris, which would be un-Constitutional?
It's done by seniority, with the most senior last, to avoid anti-climax.
7. Why did military personnel turn their backs on Biden's car instead of saluting?
They're not worried about what the motorcade might do, they are concerned about what someone with a firearm on a hill might do.
8. Why does Biden not seem to have the nuclear launch codes near him?
He will once he reaches the White House. Not everything can happen simultaneously.
9. Why is the Pentagon blocking access to members of Biden's administration?
Who?
10. Why did the wallpaper in the Oval Office seem to change completely in less than 24 hours?
It's the President. When he says froggy they jump. I can wallpaper a room that size in six hours single handed. Not that I would welcome the task, I'm a Trump supporter. But I have a brain.

"Why was Biden denied a military plane to bring him to DC?"
Did he ask for one?
It appears that he or his team expected such a plane and were denied. Various news sources have various interpretations:
https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/jan/21/facebook-posts/biden-took-private-plane-his-inauguration-hes-stil/
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9164707/Biden-cries-leaves-Delaware-fsaying-Beau-introducing-president.html
I am not particularly persuaded by any of these mainstream interpretations.
Re "Quo Warranto":
I cannot think of a valid argument for not doing this. We may lose and that’s bad publicity? The media is already claiming the Trump team has lost 50 cases!
https://naturalborncitizen.wordpress.com/2021/01/23/trump-must-bring-quo-warranto-action-as-complete-defense-to-impeachment/
Many Trump supporters are hopeful that this will happen.
7. Why did military personnel turn their backs on Biden's car instead of saluting?
Why do the guards at NFL games turn their backs on the game and just watch the people in the stands?
Could it be that they are watching the crowd because they are protecting the participants of the game?
Many things are possible, but I did not see a crowd for them to be watching. They seemed very relaxed, not at all vigilant.
Jersey Jeffersonian opined:

I think that Jersey Jeffersonian has persuaded me.

Colonel - The argument that rages about lockdown is not one I get into. There are too many variables. How can one compare South Dakota, which didn't go for lockdown and had good figures, with inner city New York or London? A State almost the size of England and Scotland put together, with fewer than a million inhabitants and a no-nonsense Governor, with heavily urbanised areas and those in charge maybe more interested in politics than epidemiology?
So also in the European countries themselves. Northern Italy, with its ghettoised Chinese enclaves in close communication with the homeland, gave us the first indication that this was going to be serious. Amazingly, it took that to wake us up to what was happening. WHO was asleep and most politicians no better. What could have been a disruptive but fairly minor problem mushroomed into a disaster.
And it got so political. I'm fairly sure that it affected Prime Minister Johnson's chances of achieving a sensible conclusion to Brexit. I'm dead sure that either the pandemic or the use that was made of it ditched Trump. The recent appointment of a pro-EU Secretary of State by the new pro-EU President confirms me in believing the first. The second - is that not obvious?
I followed Trump's handling of the pandemic. I noted the then President elect's recent tribute to the work the Trump team did - a rare moment of non-partisan honesty - and believe it justified. Put aside the hysteria, take account of the rapidly changing medical advice at the time, and allow for Trump's habit of running his mouth, and the sober reality is that he tackled this unnecessary emergency creditably.
You'll find few in Europe agreeing with that. That's because few know that the American health system is not as centralised as here. In fact the advice he was giving during those early press conferences was dead in line with that of the experts I followed and the actions he set in train impressive.
But Colonel - all that is yesterday. The new variants have changed the picture entirely. Lockdown, from being a disputed and intensely political subject, is in the UK now the only measure, crude and damaging though it is, of preventing the hospitals being over-run. That we have found in the UK. Even more so in Ireland. It is feared that the UK variant, B117, might spread in the States, or other more transmissible variants. If it does then the measures in place now will not be adequate and your hospitals will be in danger of being overwhelmed as well.
Without wishing to enter into the old lockdown debate, and without wishing to join in with scaremongering, might I nevertheless submit a video I saw only recently setting this out. The speaker, Dr John Campbell, collates and discusses the latest information. As a cross bearing his approach, pragmatic and determinedly non-political, is very much in line with that of the EVMS which for me has been the main source of information on treatment and prophylactics during the course of this pandemic.

Elsewhere when someone said that the military was turning their backs because they were guarding the motorcade by facing the crowd rather than entertaining themselves by watching the motorcade, they were rebutted by pointing out that there were no crowds. That person has obviously never served in the military. When your sergeant orders you to face the crowd, you do not tell him there is no crowd. You face where he obviously thinks there is, or should be, a crowd.
Actually, as longarch pointed out, they were doing neither, because sergeants are smart and didn't tell them to do anything.

Sir:
Anonymous writers have claimed that the only proper 21-gun salute by US troops for POTUS involves 4 artillery pieces. They have also claimed that a 3-artillery piece salute is used for funerals and visiting foreign dignitaries.
President Trump received 4 guns:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFX_7IR91Vk&feature=emb_title
Biden received 3 guns:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIprRLYcteA&feature=emb_title
The comments at YouTube seem controversial. The majority seem to think that Biden was not treated as a POTUS must be treated.
The writers linked to a manual that I do not understand at:
https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/pdf/web/ARN20654_R600_25_Admin_FINAL.pdf
I am not convinced that the PDF manual supports their claims. However, I am very ignorant of military customs and courtesies.
Posted by: longarch | 24 January 2021 at 11:42 AM
Sounds like those "Youtube anonymous writers" are wedded to thier Victim/Oppressor view of life. As well as stuck in their OrangeManBad - BlueManGood outlook; now permanent.
Biden needs to unstuck them, or else at least tell them to chase down people who are not wearing masks. Will there be a vaccine for Biden's perpetually whining Karens?
Posted by: Deap | 24 January 2021 at 03:13 PM
Longarch,
There weren't 21 rainbow flag painted guns in BLM Square? AOC better demand DOD do an investigation of gun-gate. In related important news anonymous sources on the internet say Biden didn't dance at his inaugural ball. My goodness, how disrespectful of the social courtesies.
Posted by: Fred | 24 January 2021 at 03:13 PM
@BillH:
Various facts remain to be established regarding the salute courtesies, the nuclear codes, the wallpaper. Without many more citations I will not argue on those points. However, regarding time zones:
4. Why was Biden's inauguration streamed as "live" in Spain 10 hours before the scheduled time?
Spain is in a time zone 10 hours earlier than EST
According to the calculator at:
https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/est-to-spain-madrid
EST stands for Eastern Standard Time. Madrid, Spain time is 6 hours ahead of EST.
