I hope all of you, but especially Colonel Lang, frequenting this 'cut above the rest' forum have a better 2020 Christmas than you were expecting to have.
May all of our 2021 be infinitely better than 2020.
On a sad note it seems this year that all the Western governments are responding to China's bio-propagandemic by assisting in an assault on Christmas, even in Bethleham.
"For the anniversary of Christ's birth, the local economy is dead. " (translation from French)
My grandmother had a set from there, made from olivewood. I think one of my cousins got it after Grandma passed. I still have a hand turned candlestick of olive from Palestine.
God's blessings to you and yours, Col. Lang, and to all the other members of this "Committee of Correspondence".
I sit quietly in our living room, with the tree my wife so beautifully decorated beside me, and her family's old Nativity Scene beside me as the rain pours down, and the gusty winds sigh through the branches in the woods behind our home. The dogs will miss their last excursion outside tonight, called off due to heavy rain.
I am thankful for my portion, and grateful to God. He is born in the recesses of our hearts. Solace.
It is made of old olive wood. That is why it has variations of color. I chose a set in which the figures are somewhat stylized and have no facial features. I like it very much.
Colonel Lang,
May God's blessings be on you and yours.
Merry Christmas to you and to your band of pilgrims on SST.

That's one of the nicest nativity scenes I've seen. God bless you, and y'all.

Thank you for the blessing. I also have a nativity set I bought in Bethlehem from a Palestinian. It is one of my treasures
