Walter Tevis was my favorite teacher at Ohio University. He was a brilliant and enthusiastic man. I've read The Hustler, The Man who Fell to Earth and Mockingbird. The first two are classics, the latter deserves more recognition. Too bad I dropped Netflix streaming.

I agree. Worth watching.

In case you’re interested here are analyses of two of the games from the series, including the finale. Not definitive, I don’t think. From a popular YouTube chess channel.

Here's a 1983 interview with Walter Tevis about The Queen's Gambit. Insightful and entertaining. He died in 1984.
