An entertaining retelling of an old fable. The excellent punchline finesses the traditional moral lesson: When the wolf is at the door, fine speaking matters not a jot. What matters is who is willing and able to offer protection.

I am always puzzled by the people from countries who have previously been sheltered by this third little pig who say they cannot wait for his house to come down. This post brought two things to mind. Unfortunately, covid lockdowns have so much restricted my computer face-time access that I could only now circle back to try offering them here.

The first one I can't even find on line any more. A long brute force search might find
it. It was a you tube video by a completely different Pat Lang about what English might have been like and stayed like if there had not been a Norman Conquest and its Franco-Latin re-engineering of the language. He called what the language "would have been" by the name "Anglish". It sounds very Hobbitishly MidLearthean. I like better the English we have. ( The presenter's Shakespeareanicity brought it to mind.)

The other is about some still-made-in-America tools with "pig" in their name. Red Pig Garden Tools. I may get their biggest and littlest hand furrowers.
