Yes, I've been interested and read about the Indian Wars mostly in the West. Have a great respect for the Comanches horsemanship and the generalship of Red Cloud. Still, I feel no guilt and am glad my people won, though in this day the young are taught to feel guilty about the war and everything about civilization. The programming of white guilt into the students has been perfected in Portland. Not long ago a High School near here found this note, "It's OK to be white." The well trained students walked out of class to demonstrate against this "white supremacist" threat--encouraged by their teachers. I knew some women who grew up on the Rez but prefered the city.

Zulu is one of my favorite movies. I should buy the dvd before it's banned and won't be able to rent it anymore.

IMO the plan, if it is a plan, is to collapse the present governmental structures and re-build differently on the rubble. Maoist struggle is a lot better organized than this. Usually there are peasant part-time guerrillas followed by formation of full time fighting units and alternative government.

Zulu is (or was) a staple of British Army training - for obvious reasons. A major in the British Gurkha regiment once told me a funny story: Fresh in from Nepal the Gurkha recruits attended a screening of Zulu at their base in London - I forget exactly where. After the screening the major was escorting his recruits to another location outside the base when they began to behave in a very agitated manner. Apparently they were walking through a mixed race neighborhood and the Nepalis, having seen their first black face, in the flesh as it were, were readying themselves for attack. He told me that the training program was modified (contextualized, I guess) in the aftermath, so as to avoid potential misunderstandings in the future.

Someone upthread claimed the now failed attempted coup in Washington was run by the same people who “ran the Maidan” or words to that effect.

Maybe you want to re-think that.

If the Maidan was a CIA production, why were they unable to duplicate it in DC?

If this is how the “people who ran the Maidan” do a putsch, it's time for all you believers in Nuland’s magic cookies to re-examine the Maidan.

If the people who were allegedly running the show in DC did in fact try to make a coup in Ukraine, their failure in Washington shoots down the Russian disinfo over what went down in Kyiv. If the CIA et al are so competent at coup-making that they could keep hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians out in bitter cold for 4 months, how come they couldn't keep a much smaller crowd on the street more than a few days, in nice weather?

In Ukraine in 2014 and in Washington last weekend, behind-the-scenes machinations could not determine the ultimate outcome.

Washington's fizzle - no attack on the White House - gives the lie to the idea that the Maidan could have been a paid for coup because, though there was surely funding from underhanded sources, perhaps including the deep state, involved in the terror-riots of late May to early June, it couldn't keep people going for four months like the Ukrainians did in 2014. Blacks will riot until the stores are empty, they get tired and hungry, and need to get back to their drugs they left at the crib. Nice virtuous Whites will march until they get bored, tired and hungry, and need to get back to their wifi.

This proves what I have always argued, that it was the Ukrainians’ spirit of revolution - and no, the people on the Maidan were not “marginal”, as Ischenko claims - that ousted Yanukovych, not money.

I can't find the perfect post to add this to, so I'll post it here.

"Let the Professors Run the University"

https://www.insidehighered.com/views/2019/07/02/faculty-members-need-reassert-themselves-people-who-direct-discourse-campuses

The author suggests professors have overly acquiesced to the demands of radical students.

Of course the dirty truth is that many of the profs are also radical.

In any case, this is now playing out at, e.g., Rice University:

https://www.houstonpress.com/news/rice-asked-to-remove-statue-of-slave-owner-namesake-11479143

Regarding the piece from Yoseph Maguire, his request/demand represents an uncanny echo of the demands I heard so frequently from his co-ethnics at Brandeis U. circa 1970:
"Smash the WASP establishment!"
