Done. Glad I could contribute. Thank you for all you do.

Just bought the house, with all "benefits" that follow, but still donated some humble amount.

Thank you Ciol. Lang. Done.

Larry Kart

Done, with gratitude.

I just made a donation. I hope it is of some small help. Please keep up the good work.

James Vanasek

Happily done. Keep up the great work

When you mention a scanner and multifunction printer, would one option be a printer that is also a scanner, or are you looking for a separate, high resolution scanner, and a separate printer?

I want a higher quality flat bed scanner and a laser jet color printer that is also a non flat bed scanner, copier and fax. pl

Colonel Lang, thank you

Colonel: Far be it from me to tell you what to do, but are you aware that, for the most part, a complete new set of color cartridges for a color laser printer usually end up costing more than the printer itself costs. I found this out myself the hard way.

Thanks, Colonel.

Good to have you still around after all these years. ;)

Glad to help! A man of letters should always have a good printer!

Thanks for all you do for your committee of correspondence.

I think regardless of whether you go for an inkjet or for a laser printer, it's the cost of consumables that will hit hardest, and yes, soon overtake the cost of the unit- even if you use non-genuine consumables.
That said, I faced a similar purchase earlier this year, and in light of my experiences with inkjet cartridges drying out, blocked jets etc, I went for a small office laser printer, and so far it's been flawless- quiet, fast start, good quality etc.
I've also made a small contribution- cat's vet expenses have dented the cash flow a bit lately.
