"I am deeply committed to Israel’s future as a secure and democratic Jewish state, and just as convinced that the only way to guarantee that outcome is through diplomacy. And while no solution can be imposed from outside, I believe the United States has a responsibility to help bring Israelis and Palestinians to the table and to encourage the difficult but necessary decisions that will lead to peace. As president I will never stop working to advance the goal of two states for two peoples living in peace, security and dignity.
I will do everything I can to enhance our strategic partnership and strengthen America’s security commitment to Israel, ensuring that it always has the qualitative military edge to defend itself. That includes immediately dispatching a delegation of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to meet with senior Israeli commanders. I would also invite the Israeli prime minister to the White House in my first month in office." Hillary Clinton
------------
This supposedly impassioned cri de coeur would be funny if it were not so indicative of what this woman is really like. The "sucking up" here is impressive. HC is systematically "sucking up" to every group in the democrats' base. Blacks (screw the police!), Latinos (halt deportations!), Gays (beat the Flyovers into submission!), Guns (Background checks on all transfers!), Jews (I loves Izrul! No, she only uses that voice in the South). How about Canine Americans? Well that might have to wait a bit...
It is not accidental that HC's poll ratings on honesty and truthfulness are in the toilet. IMO, not even those who love her believe her. She and Bill are arriviste opportunists who will say and do anything needed to achieve power and hold it. Anyone who believes either of them is simply a fool.
When she is elected, and she probably will be, there will be a massive purge of every institution she and Bill can reach. Holdovers from the Obama days of "Hope and Change" will run for the hills if they are smart. The scythe will swing far and wide. The only thing restraining her a little will be the prospect of 2020.
Yes, she will send the JCS to Jerusalem to offer their swords to Bibi. Yes, she will. She has remarkably little regard for soldiers. That line of chatter is yet another part of the joke. pl

You nailed it, Pat! Hillary wants power--and she wants it bad. She will do and say anything to get it.

IMO HRC may well win the nomination but not the Presidency!

hilary swearing allegiance to israel.. how does that differ from any other american politican? "HC's poll ratings on honesty and truthfulness are in the toilet." i am sure if a poll on the ratings of american politicians on this topic was ever done, it would also be 'in the toilet'..

What do you think the voter participation rate will be? That number may say more about the election than however ends up winning it.

Col.,
For the sake of Diversity! shouldn't she at least hire a couple of white male members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans? Then she'll have all the colors of the rainbow backing her.
"She has remarkably little regard for soldiers."
I agree. I wonder if she will rescind this gentleman's Medal of Honor because, to quote Hilary Clinton, "The alliance between our two nations transcends politics. It is and should always be a commitment that unites us, not a wedge that divides us."

Our system currently selects for "arriviste opportunists" with a lot of sociopathic tendencies. A nation of John Wayne hyperindividualists concerned primarily with personal interests is going to end up like that. As the Robber Baron Jay Gould said, he wasn't worried about working class America because he could always hire half of them to kill the other half.
Government is just another profit center/payday opportunity for our money grubbing, war mongering elites.
Of course, Hillary looks brilliant compared to everyone except Bernie.
And we let them do it.
Sorry, Ben Franklin.

Colonel,
Another one:
https://theintercept.com/2015/11/05/leaked-emails-from-pro-clinton-group-reveal-censorship-of-staff-on-israel-aipac-pandering-warped-militarism/
[Quote]CAP “is poised to exert outsized influence over the 2016 president race and — should Hillary Clinton win it — the policies and agenda of the 45th President of the United States. CAP founder John Podesta is set to run Clinton’s presidential campaign, and current CAP president Neera Tanden is a longtime Clinton confidante and adviser.”[eoq]
CAP has invited Bibi for a Q&A session next week - CAP is making good with Israel after being labeled as being anti-Israel by AIPAC.
Hence, may be this is the one of the reasons HRC wrote ( put her name) that piece in the Forward.

let's how Trump takes a position on Israeli-Firsters:
Ivanka Trump Kushner
"She is a close friend of Chelsea Clinton, who says of her: "There's nothing skin-deep about Ivanka. And I think that's a real tribute to her because certainly anyone as gorgeous as she is could have probably gone quite far being skin-deep."[25]
Religion
In July 2009, after studying with Rabbi Elie Weinstock from the Modern Orthodox Ramaz School, Trump had an Orthodox conversion to Judaism[26][27] and took the name Yael." wiki bio

Maybe she has little regard for the military since their actions and advice have had little positive effect on the US foreign policy in recent years.
As far as Israel is concerned they are their own worst enemy. All the weapons in the world wont help them when they wake up some morning and find they have been South Africanized.

Presidential elections are generally decided by VERY stupid people.
If Obama (a patently unqualified empty suit) can be elected twice, Herself can be elected.

If we are talking about Israel, then let us be honest: http://mondoweiss.net/2015/05/presidential-broadens-candidates
There will be NO candidates making the cut that are not rabidly pro-Israel. I get ill just thinking of my taxes sent to Israel for foreign aid...

My proposals:
(1) Israel will be safer when it mans up, joins the NPT, and gets inspected, just like Iran and Iraq. They need nukes for protection? Fine. Declare them out in the open.
(2) America stops giving Israel a Get Out Of Jail Free card at the U.N.; starts respecting the rule of law; lets Israel rejoin the rest of the human race; and allows resolutions passed by the entire rest of the world (excluding Canada and Micronesia) to take effect.
(3) Denying fresh water to close to a million women and children, in apparent hopes of a final solution, is not compatible with the Torah. Israel must pledge that the water and sewage processing plant in Gaza is sacred, and will not be bombed again. Israel must help rebuild this, and stop standing in the way of others such as Germany who also offer to rebuild this. As America is subsidizing peace, Israel must subsidize water for free to all Palestinians. Israel must stop destroying wells and stop over-pumping the water table.
"The foreigner who resides with you must be to you like a native citizen among you; so you must love him as yourself, because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God."
(4) A Truth & Reconciliation Council should catalog crimes against humanity, and allow people to confess, in order to start the formal forgiveness process. This worked in South Africa; it can be made to work in Israel.
It all starts with respect for basic human dignity. All people need to live without fear of being shot at, bombed, starved, or thirsted to death. When you cannot offer that security to your brother, then you will never be free as well.

Ms. Clinton did not clean up this mess when she was SecState and had the chance. She was too tired to finish two terms as SecState, a job that is less demanding than President. She demonstrates that she places the interests of America underneath those of a foreign power. What makes anyone think she would make a good President of the United States?
Please write to Gov. Jerry Brown and Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and ask them to run for President. Otherwise we are currently scheduled to end up with President Trump.

Funny how the text explaining the circumstances of Captain McGonagle's valorous actions failed to mention the nationality of the attacking fighter jets and motor torpedo boats, isn't it?
And that the Medal of Honor was presented in secret? This is revolting. I guess that the Lobby was afraid of the reputational damage that might result from a wider understanding of exactly who it was who slaughtered those members of the crew who died.
Will there ever be a formal board of inquiry? At this point in time, to ask is to answer the question, I suppose.

Colonel
The basic fact about Hillary Clinton is that she isn’t new. She is very old and is a member of the ruling coup that transformed the U.S. federal government from serving the people to a corporate servant. She is responsible as anyone for the declining longevity of white middle aged males in the United States.
http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2015/11/stunning-rise-in-death-rate-pain-levels-for-white-middle-aged-less-educated-whites.html
The only similar decline in longevity of males in a developed country occurred when the Soviet Union collapsed and Bill Clinton was President in the United States.

The globalists who have been running the U.S. executive branch of government for a while now, and who much prefer to do so through the Democratic Party, know perfectly well that if Hillary becomes President the Clintons will try to rout them out. I don't see any Republican candidates who appear to be electable, and Trump and Cruz appear to me to be agents. I think the globalists are weighing options as to how to get rid of the Clintons. Biden would be their candidate. At the moment this seems far-fetched, but don't be surprised if it happens one way or another.
Posted by: rg | 05 November 2015 at 07:49 PM
is there a potential republican candidate that would be better
I see the possible candidates as
trump
carson
rubio
cruz
they all seem worse

John,
I am no fan of Hillary but I have to agree with you that she looks brilliant compared to everyone except Bernie. Sometimes you have to pick the lesser of two evils. The Republicans running for the nomination all look a lot more extreme than anything she has every said or done. Whatever happened to the Danforths, Eisenhowers, or George H. W. Bush Republicans?
