"A certain little fish had always wanted to fly. It was kept in a very small, clear bowl, and swam round endlessly in circles during the day, and slept a bit at night, at the bottom of its bowl. The fish liked the clear water of his bowl, and he liked the flakes of the fish food which drifted down like tiny, dead leaves." Richard Sale
An amusing little story, Richard. My older son and I would spend hours watching and caring for our tropical fish. I alway wonder what goes through their little minds. I'd like to think that the certain little fish of your story finally came to the realization that his life really wasn't that bad and that some dreams are meant to remain dreams and his life was richer for those dreams. Yeah, kinda silly worrying about the feelings of a fictional little fish, but I'm prone to such things.
