I think he is correct in that the Palestinian's are declaring independence from the US in regards to negotiations.

I believe the following is appropriate to reflect upon:

The whole meme of "it will not change anything" is a falsehood. Of course things will change, we just do not know how and when.

One of my favorite sayings--Do not make predictions based on linear information in a non-linear world, they will invariably be wrong.

The US Government wants negotiations without pressure on Israel. Israel, quite rationally, realizes that without pressure, it can annex the West Bank incrementally. The clearing of Palesitnians will take place slowly as the their towns are slowly suffocated.

However, this assumes that America hasn't fatally weakened itself. Let's see if Saudi Arabia gives truth to Prince Turki's op ed.

Mr. Siegman lays it out pretty succinctly. Why should the Palestinians put up with what the Israelis dish out. They need the consent of their Israeli jailers to make a move?

It's interesting how the Zionist (Christian and Jewish) are all up in arms that the U.N. would even consider Palestinian recognition, so their cohorts in the Congress are now pressing their legions to call their respective Members of the Congress to help pass through one of Israel's bought-n-paid for U.S. Representatives a one Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL-18) who is the House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman introduced legislation H.R. 2829, the United Nations Transparency, Accountability, and Reform Act of 2011, that she introduced in the Congress almost a month ago August 30. Her bill cuts off U.S. funding for any U.N. agency that treats the Palestinian Arabs as an independent state outside of an agreement in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiating process in which such outstanding issues, as borders, Jerusalem, “right of return”, refugees, and Israel as a Jewish State issue, items agreed upon by both parties, to end the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Ros-Lehtinen's bill would cut U.S. aid to the U.N.'s Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the U.N.'s Human Rights Council (UNHRC), as well as cutting funds for the U.N.'s Durban III Conference which opened this September 22nd.

Guess that a-IPAC is getting its money's worth out of its bought-n-paid-for Congress person Ms. Ros-Lehtinen.

Ms. Ros-Lehtinen really needs to be registered as a foreign agent under FARA.

The US didn't win their independence as an act of charity from the British monarch, they, unilaterally, declared it and fought for it. They sure didn't beg for it to be granted.

To be sure, the Israelis have imposed on the Palestinians their share of intolerable or coercive acts. And, how was that? "Give me liberty or give me death." Obviously, the cry of a dangerous radical.

For the US Zionists (Christian and Jewish) to now demand that the Palestinians do not dare act unilaterally - how "American" is that?

Yup, appears she answers to the whims of a 'Foreign Government', and also appears she values 'them' more than 'U.S.'. That is why [based on her 'behavior'] I said that Ms. Ros-Lehtinen really needs to be registered as a foreign agent under FARA.
