Now here's some fabulous news- Steve Clemons at http://www.thewashingtonnote.com/archives/001033.html is reporting that Patrick Fitzgerald has just taken spacious, new, substantially enlarged quarters to house his ongoing investigation of the Plamegate matter.

Hallelujah !!

'Twas the night before Fitzmas, when all through the place,
Not a creature was stirring, nor e-mail being erased.
The subpoenas were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that an ember would soon make them flare.

The neocons were nestled but not snugly in their beds,
As visions of non-extraditable islands rushed through their heads.
And Fitz and his aides took a well-deserved break,
Twenty three months of testimony was no piece of cake.

When out in the hall there arose such a clatter,
They sprang from their desks to see what was the matter.
Away to the door they flew side by side,
Grabbed at the doorknob and opened it wide.

The fluorescent bulbs in the hallway were bright,
And what they saw was an amazing sight,
Their eyes beheld what they’d never have guessed,
Various defense counsel and several persons of interest.

Fitz spoke not a word, but went straight to the podium,
And read from all documents despite wingnuts’ odium,
And pointing his finger in the direction of those,
Who’d conspire a CIA agent’s identity to expose.

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the indictees the policemen they flew,
Their job as guides leading to booking to do.

The group were led out to the cheers of the people,
Those who’d kept a clear head and not acted like sheeple,
Fitz warned us to keep vigilant if the perps tried to flee,
He said it would be tough but with luck we’d break free.

Fitz sprang to his limo, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,
"HAPPY FITZMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL ... KEEP UP THE FIGHT!"

I just heard on CNN that Fitzgerald's office said that there will be no announcements today about the CIA leak case.

To Janey:

That gives them time to negotiate some deals with the potential indictees before tomorrow. Word has it that Fitz has been in touch with Rove's attorney already.
