“My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, "You're tearing up the grass." "We're not raising grass," Dad would reply. "We're raising boys.” |

May all TA/SST readers enjoy a happy Father's Day spent with family & friends.

Harmon Killebrew died of cancer a month ago, on May 17. He was a decent man, as well as a pretty good baseball player. In his honor, the Minnesota Twins are wearing his number 3 on their right sleeves the rest of the season.

Killebrew was one of our father's favorite ball players, ex-PFC Chuck. Dad was born in Minnesota & an avid baseball fan throughout his long life. Was great fun to watch televised games together- Dad knew all the stats & always did his own play-by-play of the action.
Have added year of death above.
